
Osana is a biologist and holds a Masters in Biological oceanography and marine ecosystems (2002) and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences (2005) from the University of Paris VI, France.
Before joining CCAFS she worked in Brest, France as a Theme officer for the European Network of Excellence for Ocean Ecosystem Analysis (EUR-OCEANS) ensuring the operational coordination and implementation of the Outreach Program and then at the Centre d’Ecologie Fonctionnelle et Evolutive (CEFE-CNRS, in Montpellier).
After developing an expertise in ecosystem functioning, marine microbial diversity combined with science communication and coordination, she joined the CCAFS program with the deep will to engage in applied science and contribute to strengthen the link between a demand-driven research and rural sustainable development that benefits the rural poor.
