Deadline: 31 August 2011. Agriculture and Rural Development Day 2011 in Durban will include learning events where successes in agricultural adaptation and mitigation are highlighted. Learning events should be concrete cases of widely adopted practices or policies. The objective is show how climate change can contribute to adaptation and mitigation, and make a strong case for a UNFCCC work program on agriculture. Read more »
Deadline: 16 September 2011. Opportunity to submit abstracts for the March 2012 Planet Under Pressure conference in London on intensifying agricultural production among farmers in low-income countries, while meeting future needs for sustainability. In this session, a special focus will be given to water scarcity and mitigating the impacts of agricultural production on climate change. This session will be hosted by the Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security Research Program of the CGIAR (CCAFS), the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the Stockholm Resilience Centre.

We are pleased to announce the open call for proposals for a review of and strategy development for climate change communications and social learning in climate change. The objective of this call is to review both the current approaches to climate change communications and social learning that are applicable to the developing world and to develop a strategy for future CCAFS engagement in this area.
