The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) seeks applicants for a Research Project Assistant to support CCAFS Theme 3: Pro-Poor Climate Change Mitigation. The position will be located at the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics at The University of Vermont (UVM). We seek a talented and motivated individual who will provide the CCAFS Theme 3 Leader with program management, grant, and administrative support.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will contribute to planning and reporting processes for Theme 3 activities and budgets, coordinate Theme 3 information systems and project databases, manage project contracts, and provide grant proposal and administrative support to the Theme 3 leader. The position also offers the potential for international travel to CCAFS staff or science meetings.

The position will be located at the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics at The University of Vermont (UVM). We seek a talented and motivated individual who will provide the CCAFS Theme 3 Leader with research support, manage communications, and represent Theme 3 internationally.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will contribute to the coordination of Theme 3 research activities, manage Theme 3 web and print communications, participate in annual planning and reporting processes, represent Theme 3 at meetings and events globally, and provide support on grants, workshops, and other administrative responsibilities. The position also offers the opportunity for independent research and publishing, subject to interest.

The CGIAR Research Program 7 (CRP7), Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), is a strategic ten-year partnership emerging from new collaboration between the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP) aimed at overcoming the additional threats posed by a changing climate to achieving food security, enhancing livelihoods and improving environmental management in the developing world. CCAFS brings together strategic research in agricultural science, development research, climate science, and Earth System science, to identify and address the most important interactions, synergies and tradeoffs between climate change, agriculture and food security. As a collective effort coordinated by the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), CCAFS will become a hub that facilitates action across multiple CGIAR centers and other CGIAR Research Programs while involving farmers, policy makers, donors and other stakeholders, to integrate their knowledge and needs into the tools and approaches that are developed.
