Fabian Kemps Verhage assists the Program Management Unit as research assistant at the office of CCAFS in Wageningen, the Netherlands.
Having lived part of his youth in Nicaragua, Fabian holds a great interest in food security and rural development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Global Challenges from Leiden University and a MSc in Climate Studies from Wageningen University. During his master he resided one year at the University of São Paulo in Brazil to assess the impact of climate change on the production of coffee. Besides his work for CCAFS, he is engaged in a number of projects to promote the transition from animal to plant protein and sustainable travel.
