COP22 will take over the reins from COP21 during which important progress was made. It will focus on action items in order to achieve the priorities of The Paris Agreement, especially related to adaptation, transparency, technology transfer, mitigation, capacity building and loss and damages.

7 November 2016, 16:45-18:15, Mediterranean room (Blue zone): Improving MRV for agricultural emission reductions in the livestock sector
To accelerate implementation of the Paris Agreement, we will facilitate a science-policy dialogue on measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) to detect mitigation impacts in livestock production systems. Country experiences will be shared to identify practical innovations for the collection and coordination of activity data and improved emission factors.
Organizers: CCAFS and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Livestock Research Group of the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA).

11 November 2016, 14:00-16:00, Thai Pavilion: Common challenges, common solutions: Collective actions to enhance resilience of South East Asian agriculture
This side event will: (i) articulate regional and national priorities for climate action in the agricultural sector, (ii) showcase regional and national level actions to address priorities, including through South-South cooperation mechanisms, and (iii) develop partnerships with relevant organizations and networks to further scale out climate actions in the region.

These and additional issues will be discussed during the side event that will feature the intervention from the different stakeholders working in the farming sector.
