Germany, as the incoming chair of the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA) and as chair of the Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI), is organizing the International conference on agricultural GHG emissions and food security - Connecting research to policy and practice with the participation of the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).

The high-level international research outreach conference will take place in Berlin between 10 and 13 September 2018 and is hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and supported by the Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries (Thünen Institute).

The aim of the conference is to promote a multi-stakeholder dialogue between researchers, policymakers, farmers and industry representatives in order to identify further mitigation research opportunities and future activities and research priorities to be addressed at national, EU and international levels.
