The Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security Regional Program for Southeast Asia (CCAFS-SEA) will hold a “Workshop for a Collective Engagement and Communication Plan for CCAFS-SEA,” on 29-30 May 2014 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

CCAFS-SEA is the newest region in the CCAFS program, having been formally instituted in September of last year. It completes the regional representations of a global team that will work on addressing climate change issues and agriculture challenges.

The forthcoming workshop is the third in a series of workshops conducted by CCAFS-SEA. The first two focused on establishing the groundwork for collaborative work on climate change (CC) Research for Development (R4D) among CG Centres in the SEA region and in mapping-out a regional CC R4D agenda and priorities.

This third activity aims to come up with a strategic and user-driven communication plan for the region, drawing from the practical experiences of the participating Centres and media partners, and building on the workshop outputs. Areas of convergence and complementation shall also be identified and established for a synergistic engagement among Centres and partners.

By invitation, the workshop will gather communication focal persons of participating Centres and media partners in countries within the region.
