Paresh is an agriculture engineer by training and holds a PhD in Water Science and Technology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Before joining the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) as a CCAFS scientist, Paresh worked at the Indian Space Research Organization with responsibilities in hydrological modelling. During his graduate studies, he worked on evaporation and evapotranspiration modelling, overland flow and solute transport in surface irrigation systems.
His key interests are climate change adaptation, water resource management, land use allocation modelling and hydrologic modelling. He is responsible for research and developmentl activities on scaling out climate smart technologies in South Asia and developing a model for adaptation/mitigation prioritization.
