Most of Africa, South, and Central Asia are vulnerable to the projected negative impacts of climate change, notes a recent study conducted by the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). The study shows that climate change could affect the productivity of rice, wheat, and maize by 2050, with the situation potentially getting even worse by 2080.
