The CCAFS Planning Workshop was a targeted event, which included 130 people from different stakeholder groups and from the different targeted regions.
Objectives:
- To engage stakeholders in a discussion on program focus to provide guidance on initial priorities and to ensure relevance and on-going engagement
- To initiate a process of scenario development in all regions (West Africa, East Africa and South Asia)
- To discuss and identify the key opportunities for research impact in the target regions
- To map out the detailed regional and national partnerships to be developed
- To identify target regions and sites
- To identify and agree on the first set of research activities to be undertaken both within regions and on generic issues across all Themes.
- To build a communication strategy for influence and impact
