COP26 Campaign: Transforming Agricultural Innovation
Climate Exp0 aims to raise ambition for tangible outcomes from the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), which the UK will host in Glasgow in November 2021.
CCAFS is playing a central in helping raise that ambition through a new global campaign - 'Transforming Agricultural Innovation for People, Nature and Climate’ - which calls for half of all public investment in agricultural research to focus on innovations that provide new solutions across our food systems to meet the UN Global Goals.
Co-chaired by CCAFS and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the campaign is driven by voluntary pledges from partner organizations and climate champions.
The goal is to create a groundswell of international support for a new vision for agricultural innovation as we move closer to the COP26 summit.
This campaign forms part of the UK government’s broader Sustainable Agriculture campaign for COP26, which aims to mobilize action around the three enablers of the ‘Just Rural Transition’ initiative: policy, transformation and scale.

Climate Exp0 is the first conference from the COP26 Universities Network and the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS), working together to raise ambition for tangible outcomes from the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26).
Supported by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), Cambridge University Press, and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), Climate Exp0 is part of the official All4Climate Pre-COP program and will showcase the latest thinking and most relevant international research relevant to decisions being made at COP26 in November around five key themes.
Free to attend and open to all, Climate Exp0 will harness the power of virtual collaboration to maximize inclusivity and accessibility while minimizing environmental impact and carbon footprint – providing a global stage at which policymakers, academics, practitioners, students and members of the public can gather together to collaborate, share and debate climate change science and policy.
