Alternate wetting and drying in irrigated rice

Rice production is a major source of GHG emissions. Globally, flooded rice produces approximately 20–40 Mt of CH4 per year, on average 10% of anthropogenic emissions from the agriculture sector. In addition to mitigation, AWD offers water savings, critical as water management will become more critical in many places with climate change.

To learn more about AWD, CCAFS is jointly organizing this webinar with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Association of Carbon Professionals.
