Ask the experts!

The theme for this year’s World Food Day 2015, on 16 October, is Social Protection and Agriculture: Breaking the Cycle of Rural Poverty. This year, agriculture and food security experts from across CGIAR will participate in a global campaign highlighting the role of agricultural research and projects on social protection. Development leaders will appear live on Periscope ahead of World Food Day, and live broadcasted videos will be available to watch after each broadcast. Click for the full schedule of CGIAR broadcasts.

On Monday 12 October at 14:00 UK time (UTC +1), tune in to hear Dr. Sonja Vermeulen answer your questions on boosting resilience and smallholder farmer income under climate change. Dr. Vermeulen is Head of Research for the CCAFS Program based at the University of Copenhagen. In her work, she engages with global policies and processes on climate change, agriculture and food security, as well as with regional processes in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
