On Saturday 5 December, 2015 IISD Reporting Services, through its ENB+ Meeting Coverage, covered the Africa Pavilion at COP 21, which runs from 30 October to 11 November 2015, from Paris, France

James Kinyangi, Regional Program Leader at CCAFS spoke at this COP21 side-event, presented by the Global Panel on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition. 

Kinyangi pointed out that climate change will cause a rise in the cost of staple foods leading to poor people cutting the quantity and quality of food they eat. Kinyangi also noted that nutrition insecurity is a significant problem which needs continued focus and dialogue.
