Can we achieve food security while reducing the impact of the food system on climate change? On Thursday 29 November the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) will organize the side-event “Lessons learnt from scaling-up actions on food security, adaptation and mitigation”.

There is an urgent need to scale up interventions in the agriculture and food security sectors that tackle adaptation and mitigation. The challenge has been bringing these activities to scale. The side event will take the opportunity to present, and critically discuss, large-scale agricultural successes from the field that have sustainably increased productivity; created resilience; reduced greenhouse gas emissions or increased carbon stocks; and enhanced achievement of national food security and development goals.

Refreshments will be served!
