Global Conference on Global Warming-2011
The Global Conference on Global Warming is a multi-disciplinary international conference on global warming and climate change issues and potential solutions. The conference aims at bringing together researchers, scientists, engineers, practitioners, policy makers, and politicians from all over the world to exchange information, present new technologies and developments, and discuss the future directions, strategies and priorities in a global warming scenario, namely energy use and energy efficiency, mitigation and adaptation strategies.
The conference will be arranged in 3 main areas: (I) Earth System; (II) Energy use and new paradigms; (III) Vulnerabilities, impacts and mitigation. The conference will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and several specialized sessions on different topics related to global warming and potential solutions. The ambition is that the conference will lead to effective and fruitful communication between the research, government and industrial communities.

The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) Program Director Bruce Campbell will give a presentation on 12 July, together with Theme Leaders Andrew Jarvis, Phil Thornton, James Hansen, Researcher Eva Wollenberg and Head of Research Sonja Vermuelen. Presentation title is 'How can we feed nine billion people while reducing GHG emissions?'.
