A course titled Participatory AWD Technology Dissemination, which was developed under CCAFS SEA’s 'No regret' mitigation strategies in rice production project, was conducted in Rangpur, Bangladesh. Experts in the course said that Alternate Drying and Wetting (AWD) irrigation technology while farming Boro rice could save up to 30 per cent irrigation water and increase 15 percent rice production at reduced costs.
