IMPACT team members will be providing user training on the IMPACT 3 model from February 22 to March 7. The workshop will be hosted by the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and will include participants from International Potato Center (CIP), Agricultural Research for Development in Africa (IITA), World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), and the University of Oxford.

The International Model for Policy Analysis of Agricultural Commodities and Trade (IMPACT) model is designed to examine alternative futures for global food supply, demand, trade, prices, and food security. The training will focus on the economic theory behind the IMPACT model and on the use of the new simulation interface. The objective of the training is for participants to learn how to develop and run scenarios and interpret results from the IMPACT model.
