As part of the EU Green Week 2021, the "4 per 1000" Initiative is hosting a virtual fair where they will showcase what their network of members and partners are doing to rebalance the atmosphere by reducing CO2 levels through specific measures to improve soil health.

Through the Green Week "4 per 1000" exhibition, partners and the interested public will have the opportunity to learn details about the work of other partners, explore cooperation opportunities and exchange ideas. In short, we hope that the fair will give us important impulses for the implementation of our joint strategy.

The Opening Event of the virtual fair of the "4 per 1000" Initiative will take place on 3 May 2021 at 3:30-4:30 pm CET. The Opening Event will launch over 100 events and exhibition stands. A Closing Event of the virtual fair will take place on 11 June 2021.

CCAFS at the fair

CCAFS Low-Emissions Development flagship will be hosting a virtual stand at the fair (stand 119). The stand will highlight a new scientific review of over 10,000 studies on agroecology and climate change. The review finds substantial evidence that agroecological practices—like farm diversification, agroforestry and organic agriculture—can significantly contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

The virtual stand includes links to resources and key messages and insights from the report. Lead authors will be available for questions and discussion throughout the duration of the fair.
