Victoria Clause

Victoria Clause has over 10 years of experience working in the agri-tech sector in emerging markets, providing strategic support to organisations designing and scaling commercially viable digital solutions for smallholder farmers.

As Climate-Smart Agriculture and Technology Expert at Mercy Corps AgriFin, Victoria identifies and integrates innovative digital climate-smart agriculture (DCSA) partners, products and solutions into AgriFin's portfolio of engagements. Prior to joining AgriFin, Victoria has worked extensively with mobile network operators in Africa and Asia on designing and scaling mobile-based information and financial services for smallholder farmers.

Through working with diverse organisations including the GSMA, M-Kopa, Caribou Digital and Mr Green Africa, Victoria has gained experience in managing multi-country programmes, providing technical assistance to commercial organisations, project management and on-the-ground implementation, as well as research and evaluation in the agri-tech sector. Victoria is passionate about designing relevant and accessible products for farmers and brings human-centred design expertise to the organisations she works with. 

Victoria holds a 1st class Master of Arts (MA) degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh and lives in Nairobi, Kenya, where she was born and raised.
