UNFCCC Meeting for the Ad Hoc Working Groups
The Bureau has given the secretariat the green light to make provisional arrangements for an additional sessional period in 2012 for work by:
• the Ad hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA),
• the Ad hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP);
• and the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (ADP).
These sessions will be held from Thursday 30 August through Wednesday 5 September at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), in Bangkok, Thailand.

The nature and organization of work during the period will be decided by the bodies themselves.
Due to space limitations at the UNCC NO delegation office space on a commercial basis is available. Parties and Observer organizations are being advised to make their own logistical arrangements outside the conference premises. For a similar reason, it will not be possible to hold side events and exhibits on this occasion.
The secretariat will be seeking funds to cover the costs of organising the additional sessional period and of full participation by eligible Parties, as these are not reflected in the approved budget.
