FARMERS MUST ENGAGE IN CLIMATE-SMART AGRICULTURE - Times Of Swaziland
CGIAR Climate's insight:
The Director of The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), Michael Hailu, and Bruce Campbell, Director, CGIAR Research Programme on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) say; “ To ensure a food secure future, farming must become climate resilient. Around the world, governments and communities are adopting innovations that are improving the lives of millions while reducing the agriculture climate footprint. Climate-smart agriculture should serve as an inspiration for future policies and investments”. Therefore; farmers in Swaziland cannot afford to sit down and do nothing while millions of farmers in the world are reaping benefits of climate –smart agriculture. Farmers in Swaziland must stand up and tell government what kind of help they need in order to be climate change resilient.
