Unlocking billions in sustainable finance

Add to Calendar
How can we unlock the needed assets to make a transformation of our food systems a reality?
The proposed session titled “Sustainable finance to unlock billions” aims to set the roadmap of what needs to happen to unlock the US$300-350 billion needed in public and private capital per year to realize business opportunities in the implementation of the SDGs. This is the main goal of the action proposed by all partners of the Transforming Food Systems in a Changing Climate initiative

Speakers in the session would discuss the key short and mid-term strategies that are needed to reorient and leverage capital flows towards sustainable food systems. In addition, they will discuss their potential roles and provide examples of what their organizations are already doing towards achieving these action goals. The session would include a key presentation followed by a talk show with invited speakers. The discussion will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience.
