Pledge now to transforming agricultural innovation

Playback the event

This Independent Food Systems Summit Dialogue (FSSD) will enrichen the canvas of perspectives on how food systems can be transformed for a climate-smart future.

It will open up space for dialogue on a new Action Agenda for Change developed by CCAFS, and allow stakeholders the opportunity to pledge their support to a global campaign on agricultural innovation, co-chaired by CCAFS and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Pledge your support to our global campaign on transforming agricultural innovation for people, nature and climate

The Dialogue will explore opportunities for stakeholders to become an integral part of this year-long campaign, which will see significant announcements and initiatives at the UN Food Systems Summit and COP26.

In addition, the Dialogue will pinpoint ways the UN Food Systems Summit and COP26 can align in their objectives to support the transformation the world needs, and how we as a global community can act to encourage this alignment.

So join us in this dialogue and pledge your support to transform agricultural innovation.

Background

There is a growing recognition that business as usual in agricultural innovation will not deliver the SDGs by 2030. Against this backdrop, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) launched the Transforming Agricultural Innovation for People, Nature and Climate’ campaign as part of its COP26 Presidency.

The campaign—co-chaired by CCAFS—will transform agricultural innovation by building a global coalition of pledges around the three pillars  of the ‘Just Rural Transition’: policy, transformation and scale.

Meanwhile, in collaboration Wageningen University and Research (WUR) and a community of agricultural innovators from around the world, CCAFS developed an Action Agenda for Change. This agendadrawn from the inputs of hundreds of stakeholdersfocuses on innovation, digitalization and investment and utilizes stakeholder partnerships to catalyze its impact.
