The University of Michigan and the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) are hosting an upcoming workshop on livelihoods and emissions on the forest-farm frontier, in partnership with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the Rights and Resources Institute (RRI). Coordinated by CCAFS partner Arun Agrawal, workshop participants will examine institutional mechanisms that maintain the forest-farm boundary and avoid increased agricultural expansion into forests, to reduce emissions, while also conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
