A key outcome of the first ICCS, held in October at Columbia University in New York, was the creation of the Climate Services Partnership. An informal and diverse alliance of organizations committed to climate-smart development, the CSP will work to advance climate services worldwide, including by contributing to the Global Framework for Climate Services and other initiatives. Members will collaborate to learn from each other’s experiences, to identify gaps and needs, and to develop and evaluate innovations.

This side session will introduce the CSP and give members time to explain their individual initiatives. Those interested in joining the partnership or in learning more about the role for climate services in climate change adaptation are encouraged to attend.
