Mathieu Ouédraogo

Dr Mathieu Ouédraogo is a Scientist at the CGIAR Research program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), West Africa regional Program, based at ICRISAT-Bamako (Mali).

He holds a bachelor degree in Agronomy and an Engineer degree in Agrocultural Economics from the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (Morocco), a master’s degree in Development, Environment and Societies from the University of Liège (Belgium) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).

Prior to this position, he was a visiting scientist for CCAFS West Africa regional program, ICRISAT, between 2013 and 2014. Before joining ICRISAT, he worked as a researcher in Agricultural Economics at the Institute for Environmental and Agricultural Research (INERA) in Burkina Faso from 2000 to 2013 where he was responsible for socio-economic research of the research program on natural resources management and farming system in Western of INERA.

His area of expertise includes : (i) climate change and agriculture (perception, adaptation and economic impact), (ii) farm management, (iii) adoption and impact of agricultural technologies, (iv) economics of environment and natural resources, (v) value chain analysis.

Dr Mathieu Ouédraogo has published several papers on climate change, agriculture and natural resources.
