This CFS48 Side Event was organized in partnership between the World Business Council For Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) and CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). CFS guidelines are designed to provide evidence-based guidance to governments, specialised institutions and other stakeholders, on the effective policies, investments and institutional arrangements that are needed to contribute to reshaping or promoting healthy and sustainable food systems.

This interactive, multi-stakeholder conversation to explored how CFS guidelines are being used, integrated and translated for the private sector, with a panel discussion on the role of monitoring frameworks for business and the challenges regarding to alignment or implementation.

  • Showcase how initiatives have integrated CFS products into their work;
  • Hear from stakeholders as to why business alignment of monitoring frameworks, such as CFS products, are crucial to realize more impact for farming communities and the planet;
  • Discuss the challenges regarding to alignment or implementation and how these could be remedied.
