Background
Faced with accelerating climate change, we need a step change in agricultural innovation.
Better focus and coordination—with enhanced efforts to scale what works—will deliver benefits to people, nature and climate. But significant gaps remain in the evidence base on what works, where and how, and this prevents us from achieving our climate goals.
This side-event to the Committee of Food Security 47 (CFS47) will present the latest evidence on the challenges and opportunities in scaling approaches that are proven to work, building on innovations and demand-driven solutions.
This side-event enables stakeholders to make commitments or pledges that transform innovation systems in agriculture. It is these commitments that will form the building blocks to the climate-smart future that United Nations Food Systems Summit and COP26 can secure.
