Tanzania, Uganda launch climate change pact | IPP Media

Ugandan, Climate Change Agriculture and Food security (CCAFS) Project Officer, Dr. Edidah Ampaire told reporters mid week in Dar es Salaam that, the initiative will apply interdisciplinary science-based recommendations to adopt implementation of better policies that suits in “climate-smart” agricultural practices across multiple scales and actors.
She said the project is seeking to achieve enhanced agricultural practices and policies that will ensure maximum food security and environmental protection among the entire population of the two the countries.
According to the environmental expert, the four- year project (2014 to 2017) is an activity within the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) on Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security.
