Osana is Science Officer for the CCAFS Climate Smart Agricultural Practices Flagship. Biologist by training -with a Master in Biological Oceanography (2002) and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences (2005) from the University of Paris- she has a combined expertise in research, project management and public outreach within international science-for-development initiatives.

Osana joined CCAFS in 2010 and has since been supporting, coordination strategic research, partnership development and integration between different research groups. As an advocate of innovative and exciting science that reaches society and proffers solutions to people’s challenges and needs, she acts as a bridge builder and facilitator to foster synergies, knowledge sharing and cooperation. As part of her work, she is also strongly engaged is the development and support of South-South exchange programs between developing countries in Africa and Latin America.
