The side event, 'Climate Smart Villages in Africa - opportunities for farmers and communities' will bring together partners, researchers and development practitioners, to discuss the currently used model of climate smart villages, that is being implemented in two regions in Africa, East and West Africa. 

The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) will coordinate a side event on 15 July during the Africa Agriculture Science Week (AASW) in Accra, Ghana. AASW is convened by the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA).
